1. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions (PHI)
Stafford is having himself quite the bounce back campaign in 2013 and should be able to help you advance in your fantasy playoffs this week. As the No. 3 fantasy quarterback through 13 weeks, Stafford has tallied an average of 325 yards and 2.5 touchdowns per game this season. That's been good enough for an average of 20.43 fantasy points per outing. Stafford is going up against a Philadelphia Eagles defense that is yielding an average of 335 yards and 20.03 points to opposing quarterbacks this season.
Projected Statistics: 370 passing yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions
2. Nick Foles, Philadelphia Eagles (DET)
Not only has Foles put up 21 touchdowns and zero interceptions this season, he's been a QB1 option in five of his six starts this season. He's also leading the NFL in touchdown percentage, quarterback rating, total QBR, yards per attempt and yards per completion. Overall, Foles ranks No. 1 in the NFL in points per drop back at 0.78. If all this wasn't enough to think that he's a legit top-end fantasy option in Week 14, Foles goes up against a Lions defense that ranks in the bottom 11 of the NFL against fantasy quarterbacks.
Projected Statistics: 280 passing yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions
3. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos (TENN)
It's going to be a cold day in hell before Manning isn't one a top-five list, as most of you already know if you have been reading these weekly articles. The future Hall of Fame quarterback is still on pace to break the single-season record for touchdown passes and passing yards. By definition, he's having a record-breaking season. Despite the fact that he's going up against a Tennessee Titans defense that ranks fourth in the NFL against fantasy quarterbacks, there is no other reason to believe that Manning won't be a top-tier fantasy option in Week 14.
Projected Statistics: 310 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception
4. Alex Smith, Kansas City Chiefs (WASH)
Smith is the No. 9 ranked fantasy quarterback through 13 weeks. He ranks ahead of the likes of Tom Brady and Matt Ryan, which is simply insane. In addition, Smith has finished as a top-five fantasy option in each of the last two weeks, going for 630 yards and five touchdowns during that span. Kansas City will take on a disastrous Washington Redskins defense that is giving up an average of 20.53 points to quarterbacks this season. Expect another upper-echelon performance here.
Projected Statistics: 280 passing yards, 20 rushing yards, three touchdowns and one interception
5. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints (CAR)
I don't really want to put Brees on this list considering that he's going up against the defense in the Carolina Panthers that has yielded the least amount of fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Thinking a bit longer about it, there was no way I couldn't include him. Brees and the Saints are coming off an atrocious performance on Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks and will be looking to maintain their division lead at home against the Carolina Panthers this week. Where Carolina is easily one of the top-five defenses in the NFL, we know just how well Brees plays at home. That's going to ride him into a top-five performance, even if it doesn't equate to a win on the field.
Projected Statistics: 320 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception
