Chargers 26, Dolphins 16

Philip Rivers tossed a touchdown pass to Vincent Jackson and did not throw an interception for the first time this season as the San Diego Chargers posted a 26-16 home victory over the winless Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Ryan Mathews rushed for 81 yards and collected 68 more in the passing game while Mike Tolbert added a 1-yard touchdown for San Diego (3-1), which has won all three of its games this season at Qualcomm Stadium.

Entering the game with a league-high six interceptions, Rivers completed 21 of 31 of passes for 307 yards - with 55 of those going to Jackson on the team's first score in the first quarter.

Rivers exploited a defensive breakdown by finding a wide-open Jackson, who dove for the ball at the 10-yard line. Without a defender in the vicinity, Jackson had enough time to get to his feet, shake off an attempted tackle and get into the end zone.

Lex Hilliard rumbled in for a 1-yard touchdown run for winless Miami (0-4), which lost quarterback Chad Henne on a busted play during the 11-play, 92-yard scoring drive.

Henne attempted to hand off to Hilliard, who wasn't ready for the ball. Henne then tried to scramble but was slammed to the turf and injured his left shoulder. He was replaced by Matt Moore, who completed 17 of 26 passes for 167 yards.

San Diego native Reggie Bush rushed for a team-high 50 yards for the Dolphins.
