It’s always difficult to gauge how much a victory will resonate throughout recruiting process, however, Miami’s win over state rivals Florida will be sure to sway recruits one way or another.
Miami’s sideline hosted a number of recruits for the Florida game, including two four-star prospects - defensive tackle Anthony Moten and wide receiver Braxton Berrios. The ‘Canes’ big win over Florida will certainly have an impact on the young men who are about to decide their future.
Three-star running back Qadree Ollison visited Heinz Field to watch Pittsburgh’s defeat to Florida State on Labour Day and subsequently committed to the Panthers over Penn State and Wisconsin. A second running back, Shai McKenzie, was also at the game, as Pittsburgh continue to battle with Virginia Tech for the three-star recruit.
McKenzie isn’t the only player torn between Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech, athlete Dravon Henry recently altered his top four earlier this week, eliminating Penn State. Henry is the most important player left on Paul Chryst’s board and he can’t afford to lose him. Henry is the cousin of NFL superstar Darrelle Revis who also attended Pitt, maybe that will help Chryst out.
