College Football: Early 2014 All-Sec Projections

Offense

QB. Nick Marshall, Auburn

Marshall came on hot at the end of the year in Auburn's final push for the national championship. If he can continue perfect his raw skill set, he could be a lethal quarterback in Gus Malzahn's offense.

RB. Todd Gurley, Georgia

Little needs to be said about Gurley. His dominance over the past two seasons speaks for itself, and he is bound to mimic such dominance.

RB. TJ Yeldon, Alabama

To be honest, Yeldon is talented, but being on this list will be more about him playing for Alabama and having the hype. Mike Davis of South Carolina will be more deserving, but will be snubbed from the list.

WR. Amari Cooper, Alabama

Without AJ McCarron under throwing him, Cooper will be able to max out his ability and produce to his full potential.

WR. Laquon Treadwell, Mississippi

Treadwell will become more of a feature piece in the offense now that he is a sophomore with a year's worth of experience under his belt. He is one of the nation's best young receivers and will prove that in 2014.

TE. OJ Howard, Alabama

There are few better athletes for their position in the NCAA than Howard. He has the size, speed, and strength to be elite in every aspect of being a tight end.

OL. Cedric Ogbuehi, Texas A&M

Just as Jake Matthews did, Ogbuehi is moving from right tackle to left tackle. Ogbuehi's hand and foot quickness will allow him to continue to defend against the SEC's best pass rushers.

OL. Laremy Tunsil, Mississippi

Tunsil was one of 2013's most talented freshman due to his phenomenal physical ability. He was raw, but a bit of development will allow him to take over the SEC.

OL. Germain Ifedi, Texas A&M

Last year, Ifedi played right guard, but he will be moving to right tackle. He was a human brick wall at right guard, and he will continue to be one at tackle.

OL. La'El Collins, LSU

Collins is a mauling tackle that brutalizes anyone in his path. At the next level, he may be more fit for guard, but at the collegiate level, he is a top notch tackle.

C. Reese Dismukes, Auburn

Of course center's will never get the credit they deserve, but Dismukes was critical to Auburn's offensive prowess and he will surely be at it again.

All-Purpose. Speedy Noil, Texas A&M

Noil will only be a freshman, but he has the blazing speed to be a lethal receiver and a deadly returner.

Defense

DL. Dante Fowler, Florida

Fowler's athletic ability is quite evident and it is the reason he has been successful as he has, but this off-season, he has improved his hand usage. With better technique, Fowler will terrorize the SEC.

DL. Shane Ray, Missouri

With Michael Sam and Kony Ealy on the team last year, Ray did not get the playing time that he deserved. He will outperform Ealy's and Sam's 2013 seasons.

DL. A'Shawn Robinson, Alabama

Considering he was a freshman on one of the most talented teams in the nation, Robinson received little attention, but he will be back to brutalize SEC quarterbacks once again.

DL. Za'Darius Smith, Kentucky

"Kentucky? Really?" Yes, really. Smith was one of the more impressive edge rushers receiving hype for the NFL draft until he opted out. Expect him to repeat what earned him his initial hype.

LB. Ramik Wilson, Georgia

Wilson was a commander as an inside linebacker in Georgia's 3-4 defense last season. He will be back again to be a force for Georgia's front.

LB. Trey Depriest, Alabama

As CJ Mosley's wingman, DePriest was one of the most active linebackers in the SEC and he should be able to be more productive with Mosley gone.

LB. Jarrad Davis, Florida

Davis did not start the entire year, but once given the opportunity, he was the Gators best linebacker. With a full year to play, Davis will show what he can really do.

DB. Vernon Hargreaves III, Florida

Despite being a freshman, Hargreaves was arguably the best cornerback in the nation. His fluidity, athleticism, and tenacity makes him a receiver's nightmare.

DB. Landon Collins, Alabama

Simply put, Collins is a playmaker. He had his fair share of mistakes last season, but Collins has the athletic ability to be a stellar safety.

DB. Cody Prewitt, Mississippi

Prewitt was one of the best safeties in the SEC last season and there is not reason to believe that that will not be the case in 2014.

DB. Deshazor Everett, Texas A&M

Everett is a lengthy cornerback that succeeds by being able to win at contested catch points and disrupt the pass. Assuming the defense around him performs better than they did last year, Everett will be able to shine.
