BCS Bowls

BCS National Championship: Florida State vs USC

Florida State is no surprise as repeat contenders for the National Championship, but USC is quietly poised for a wonderful year. Their defense is elite, while their offense is going to be able to march down efficiently. With stars like Nelson Agholor, Leonard Williams, Su’A Cravens, and many more on the team, USC will be able to come out on top of the PAC 12 and ultimately land a natty berth.

Rose Bowl: Michigan State vs Oregon

The Ducks will fall short of a PAC 12 championship shot because of Stanford, but they will end up being ranked higher after USC beats Stanford in the conference title game. Oregon’s speed versus Michigan State’s brutality will be an interesting matchup. Contrary to common belief, Michigan State has the edge. Oregon struggles against teams that can physically beat them up front, and Michigan State can.

Discover Orange Bowl: Duke vs Baylor

As the conference winner, Florida State will play in the national title game. Duke is the next team in line from the ACC. David Cutcliffe’s “flip” of the program has been incredible and they are finally at a highly competitive level. In a game against an offense like Baylor’s, this game will be one hell of a shootout.

Allstate Sugar Bowl: Alabama vs Washington

After losing the conference to Auburn last season, Alabama will regain their throne atop the SEC. Although, many will be shocked with Washington. Their defense is arguably the best in the conference, and their receiving corps on offense will be able to carry the offense. The two teams are different stylistically, but they will make for an entertaining matchup.

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma vs Auburn

Though they will not repeat their success from last season, Auburn is still a competitive team that will put up a fight in a BCS bowl. Oklahoma will now officially be without Dorial Green-Beckham, but they are still the best team in the conference. Trevor Knight is a darkhorse Heisman candidate that will lead Oklahoma to the Fiesta Bowl.
