1- Bryant-Denny Stadium (Alabama Crimson Tide)
No dynasty is complete without it’s undyingly passionate fans and Alabama in no exception. Since the arrival of Nick Saban, Alabama has been a powerhouse and the already die-hard fans have gone all in. In fact, the “bandwagon”, if you will, have grown across the nation and reaches to every corner of the country from southern California to Vermont. The root of the fandom down in Tuscaloosa has brought it upon themselves to be fully committed to the football program and actively participate to support the team by filling up the stadium of the Crimson Tide with a crimson tide. This sea of red roars all game long, shaking the stadium and with the quakes likely being felt up in Michigan. Luckily for the Tide, days of defeat are seldom and often far apart, especially with Saban leading the way. With such few losses, the fandom has never died down or been kept quiet. As it has recently, the Tide will roll on past each and every opponent they face and their loving fans will be right by their side.
2- Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (Florida Gators)
No team leaves “The Swamp” the same way they came in. Between the blazing heat and sweat inducing humidity, the roaring fans, and the violent and talented team, opposing squads struggle to handle all of the pressure. The constant screams from the endless mass of blue and orange is awe strickening and gives each and every participant chills running up and down their spine. The infamous Gator chomp is constantly performed all throughout the stadium as a reminder that the opposing team is nothing more than Gator bait. With the revival of the program under Will Muschamp, the fans have become even more involved and have been fully supportive of the Champ and it’s evident on game day.
3- Kyle Field (Texas A&M Aggies)
“Gig ‘em, Aggies” is the chant that you may hear rumbling throughout College Station, Texas. The surprise Heisman winner Johnny Manziel has only built upon the school’s fiery passion for it’s football team and it’s ever growing success. What makes A&M so special is their use of “Yell Leaders” as opposed to having a full cheer leading squad to pump up the crowd. These yell leaders use and arsenal of hand motions that are used to get the crowd involved in the action and get them pumped up for their Aggies. It also doesn’t hurt that A&M may have one of the nation’s largest and most beautiful football stadiums to hold it’s fans.
4- Tiger Stadium (LSU Tigers)
LSU joins the club of teams with real life mascots that accompany their team at home. Mike the tiger sits in his cage along the LSU sideline instilling fear in anyone who comes even relatively close to his cage. The Tigers also have their chants for each down, except 4th, which has it’s own style and purpose. Along with that, “Geaux Tigers!” is being constantly shouted across the stadium from kickoff until the clock strikes 00:00. LSU also has a sense of nostalgia with their “H-style” field goal posts behind the end zones.
5- Sanford Stadium (Georgia Bulldogs)
Who doesn’t love the real bulldog that roams the sidelines? Like Uga, the bulldog, the fans and their desire to see their team win on a consistent basis is certainly real. The energy flowing through the stadium and within it’s dwellers is clear and draws you into the action. Whether they are attempting to dethrone Alabama or crushing Kentucky, the loyal pack of Bulldogs stands loyally by their team’s side. The fiery red surroundings, along with the chanting fans that make up those surroundings, only add to the effect of great SEC matchups.
6- Williams-Brice Stadium (South Carolina Gamecocks)
The love for the Gamecocks is ever growing in Columbia, especially with Steve Spurrier at the helm. The endless sight of the blood red that fills up Williams-Brice Stadium subconsciously makes other teams aware that their defeat is imminent. As is the nature of the team, the fans are relentless in their efforts as well. Silence is unknown to Gamecocks fans, especially against other SEC competitors. The thirst from the fans for their team to win shows up glaringly every Saturday and refuses to die down until their squad is victorious.
7- Neyland Stadium (Tennessee Volunteers)
Just as the Bulldogs have their live canine mascot, the Volunteers sport their own. Smokey struts up and down the sideline supporting his Volunteers right along side his human companions. While Smokey is a unique piece of the Vols game day experience, their field gives a different feeling as well. As opposed to solid colored or logo oriented end zones, Tennessee uses an orange and white checkerboard pattern that makes them rather special. Their fans take pride in their uniqueness as they support their team, win or lose.
8- Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium (Arkansas Razorbacks)
“Pig Sooie!” is a phrase to live by for a Razorbacks fans. It’s been burned into their memory and has become a way of life. Arkansas continues upon the theme of having a live mascot that attends the home games on the sidelines. Their live representation of the mascot is Tusk, who is obviously a razorback, that was inspired by Coach Bezdek in 1909.
9- Jordan-Hare Stadium (Auburn Tigers)
Coming in as the 2nd ranked “Tiger” team, Auburn’s chant isn’t relative to tigers at all. Instead, War Eagle has become their known motto and is used even more so when playing Alabama. The War Eagle, Nova, roams the area during home games. Dark blue and auburn orange spans across every square inch of the stadium with their excited fans eager to see their Tigers come out on top.
10- Davis Wade Stadium (Mississippi State Bulldogs)
Cowbells are cliche, right? Well, due to a cow wandering on the field in the early 1900’s in a game which Miss State ended up winning, cowbells have become a good luck token to the fans. The maroon crowd has also adopted the phrase “Hail State!” as it’s official motto for the team which has even appeared on the back of the team’s jerseys. Identical to Georgia, Mississippi State has a live bulldog of their own. Bully Bulldog roams around the sidelines during his beloved team’s home match ups.
