$1 Million Up For Grabs at LPGA Tour CME Group Tour Championship

Three women have $1 million firmly in their hands. The question is, who will put it in their purse on Sunday evening?

If Stacy Lewis, Inbee Park or Lydia Ko win the CME Group Tour Championship this week in Naples, Florida, they will collect the Race to the CME Globe $1 million bonus, in addition to the $500,000 first-place check.

The season-long Race to the CME Globe culminates this week at Tiburon Golf Club. Nine players have a chance to win the $1 million bonus, but Lewis, Park and Ko would need to tumble down the leaderboard.

That scenario is highly unlikely, as all three women are the most consistent performers on the LPGA Tour.

The CME Group Tour Championship features only the Top 69 point earners this week and all of the big names will be in attendance.

U.S. Women’s Open Champion, Michelle Wie was forced to take time off to recuperate a hand injury, but she is still ranked No. 4 in the Race to the CME Globe and No. 3 on the LPGA Tour money list.

Lewis is ranked No. 2 in the Rolex Ranking behind Park, but is three points ahead of Park in the Player of the Year race.

Lewis also leads Park by 721 points in the Race to the CME Globe and has earned $300,000 more in total prize money.

Ko, who has already sewn up the Rookie of the Year award, trails both Lewis and Park in the Race to the CME Globe and Wie on the money list.

So Yeon Ryu (5), 2013 Tour Championship winner, Shanshan Feng (6), Anna Nordqvist (7), Chella Choi (8) and Karrie Webb (9) could all win the $1 million with a win, if Lewis, Park and Ko finish down the leaderboard.

The CME Group Tour Championship caps off one of the most memorable LPGA Tour seasons of all time. Player of the Year, Race to the CME Globe and the LPGA Tour money title will all be decided this week in Naples.
