The annual Shark Shootout will be held this weekend at Tiburon Country Club in Naples, Florida. Twenty-four of Greg Norman’s golf buddies will pair up in 12 two-man teams to compete for a total purse of $3 million. The winning team will split $750,000.
This is the 12th year that the Franklin Templeton Shark Shootout that has been held and it has raised millions of dollars for area charities in southwest Florida.
The format allows the players to be somewhat more relaxed than a regular tour event. The teams will play a modified alternate shot format on Friday. Saturday’s round will be better ball and Sunday’s final round will feature a scramble.
The defending champions, Keegan Bradley and Brendan Steele, posted a total of 32-under par last year. Their scores included a 59 in the two-man scramble on Sunday.

The Franklin-Templeton Shark Shootout can be viewed live on Golf Channel Friday from 1-4 PM EST. NBC will pick up the coverage from 4-6 PM EST on Saturday and also on Sunday 3-6 PM EST.
