Little Linksters has annually hosted a contest to identify the golf swings of junior golfers, eight years old and younger, from around the world.
The popular contest allows parents to upload a video to YouTube of their “Little Linksters” swing and prizes will be awarded in four age groups. Voting will be conducted by a panel of industry veterans and experts.
Past judges of the “Best Pee Wee Swing in the World” contest have included some of the biggest names in golf; Annika Sorenstam, Hank Haney, Kelly Sheehan, Lexi Thompson, Jim McLean, Win McMurry, Paula Creamer, Nicole Weller, Chuck Evans, Brittany Lincicome, Gary Player, Allen Wronowski, Frank Nobilo and Holly Sonders.
Two very familiar names have been added this year as celebrity judges. Jack Nicklaus and Keegan Bradley have both agreed to lend their time to help rate and choose the best golf swings of the little golfers.
Nicklaus, one of the best golfers of all time, had 73 career wins on the PGA Tour including 18 major championship victories. Bradley, although only 28 years old, is recognized as one of the best young players on the PGA Tour. He won the 2011 Byron Nelson, the 2011 PGA and the 2012 WGC-Bridgestone Championships.
They will be joined on the panel by, Keegan’s father, Mark Bradley, a PGA Professional in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Frank Nobilo, Allen Wronowski, Nicole Weller and Chuck Evans.
Parents can submit a video (less than 60 seconds) of their little golfers to YouTube and then share the YouTube link on the contest entry form found at: http://littlelinksters.com/best-pee-wee-golf-swing-in-the-world/.
Entries will be accepted until January 9, 2015. Prizes will be awarded in four age categories, under 3 years old, 3-4 years old, 5-6 years old and 7-8 years old.
Each prize package is valued at more than $1,000 and includes items from some of the industry’s best children’s golf apparel, equipment and training aid companies.
