Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson is sitting Friday night's game with a minor injury to his right thumb. Donaldson, the reigning AL MVP, jammed his thumb on Wednesday and is considered day-to-day.
Donaldson, 30, is hitting .289 with 28 homers and 80 RBI on the season. He'll be joined on the bench by shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, who is being given a scheduled day off.
