Fernandez is on an insanely good run right now. He has only allowed three runs in his last five starts, and has struck out at least 11 batters in three of those five starts. Fernandez has also only thrown under seven innings in one of those starts, while winning his last seven starts. Fernandez is hitting every important stat that a pitcher needs to hit in order to be effective in DFS. Today Fernandez will pitch against the Mets who have one of the worst offenses in baseball. They rank 27th in runs, and 28th in batting average, and to make matters worse for them they have lost Yoenis Cespedes for at least a couple of games. Cespedes is the only threat the Mets have in their lineup as Fernandez should be able to cruise right through this mediocre lineup.
