Lester is on an incredible run, and has placed his name firmly into the discussion for CY Young. Over his last nine starts he has yet to allow more than two runs, owns a 7-0 record, and has never failed to go fewer than six inning, which has helped dropped his ERA to 1.02 during this nine game stretch. So far in September he has only allowed one run over 24 innings with and 19 strikeouts. Now he gets to face a weak Reds offense that brings only Joey Votto to the table as a viable offensive threat. While the Cubs have been benching starters lately, I fully expect them to trot out their starting lineup as they look to help Lester claim the CY Young.
