Straily has been surprisingly effective this season. If not for a seven run explosion to end the month of August Straily wouldn't have posted an ERA under three for the second consecutive month. That outing also ended a run of 10 straight starts with two or fewer runs allowed. It didn’t take Straily long to regain his form though as in his next start he held the Cardinals to one run over 5.2 innings with five strikeouts. Straily's strikeout rate is right around 8 K/9 this season which is excellent for DFS purposes. Tonight he faces a Pirates offense that has been very up and down this season, but has been more down than up in the second half. Straily may not be a sexy pick, but on a short slate he marks that top of an untalented pool of players.
