The scoring system for FanDuel    is as follows:

Batters: Single = 1pt, Double = 2pts, Triple = 3pts, Homerun = 4pts, RBI = 1pt, Run = 1pt, Walk = 1pt,
Stolen Base = 2pts, Hit By Pitch = 1, Out (calculated as at bats - hits) = -.25pt
Pitchers: Win  = 4pts, Earned Run = -1pt, Strike Out = 1pt, Innings Pitched = 1pt

Pitcher
A.J. Burnett, Phillies, $7,200:
Burnett has not been particularly good this season or even of late.  Having posted a 4.30 ERA on the season and a 5.08 ERA over the last 30 days.  He is however coming off of one of his best starts of the season where he struck out twelve batters over seven innings against the Nationals and only surrendered one run.  Now he faces a Mets lineup that doesn’t provide many good hitters, and while he probably won’t repeat his last start he should have a quality start for those who decide to choose his services.

Catcher
Devin Mesoraco, Reds, $3,300:
Mesoraco has cooled off considerably since a scorching hot start but is still having one of the best seasons of any catcher in baseball.  Mesoraco has five hits in his last four games with a pair of runs and RBI.  With Francisco Liriano on the mound for the Pirates there should be plenty of RBI opportunities for Mesoraco as Liriano has had major control issues, issuing 24 walks over his last nine starts which is just over three walks per game.

First Base
Mike Morse, Giants, $2,500:
While Morse seems to have been sapped of his power he continues to bat for a solid average this year with a .281 batting average on the season and a .306 average over the last 30 days.

Second Base
Chase Utley, Phillies, $3,200:
Utley appears to be finally turning his struggles around.  After a great first half to the season Utley has seen his average drop down to .281 and has only hit two homeruns in August.  Utley is five for his last 14 and has always hit the Mets well and gets to see them for the last game of a three game series.

Third Base
Pablo Sandoval, Giants, $2,800:
The Panda is putting together a great season in his contract year and is killing the ball in August.  For the month he is batting .314 with two homeruns, 12 runs and 15 RBI.  Even better is Pablo is dirt cheap at under $3,000 especially for the production.

Short Stop
Jhonny Peralta, Cardinals, $2,900:
After what seemed like a lost season for Peralta in the beginning of the season he is red hot right now.  In August he is batting .317 with four homeruns, 13 runs scored and 16 RBI.  This kind of production is great in general but when you consider it is coming from a shortstop he is a must start right now.

Outfield
Marcell Ozuna, Marlins, $2,900:
The young outfielder is putting together a fine season for the surprisingly competitive Marlins.  He now has 19 homeruns including three in the last 15 days to go along with a .347 batting average.  He has a tough matchup against Alex Wood, but being a right handed batter should help him out and keep his bat going.
