The scoring system for FanDuel    is as follows:

Batters: Single = 1pt, Double = 2pts, Triple = 3pts, Homerun = 4pts, RBI = 1pt, Run = 1pt, Walk = 1pt,
Stolen Base = 2pts, Hit By Pitch = 1, Out (calculated as at bats - hits) = -.25pt
Pitchers: Win  = 4pts, Earned Run = -1pt, Strike Out = 1pt, Innings Pitched = 1pt

My Value Picks

Pitcher
Jimmy Nelson, Brewers, $5,000:
Nelson is back up in the majors and is making his third career start and second of the season.  In his very brief major league career Nelson has thrown 15 innings recording 14 strikeouts and has only allowed one earned run.  To get a better idea of the Brewers top pitching prospects potential in the minors this season Nelson has thrown 111 innings and has a miniscule 1.46 ERA and a 9.2 K/9.  In the past a start against the Cardinals would not be a good matchup but they have struggled to score all season long and are now without their all star catcher Yadier Molina.

Catcher
Wilson Ramos, Nationals, $3,000:
Ramos has been a hitting machine since coming off of the disabled list.  He has recorded a hit in all 12 games since being activated and has a career high 14 game hitting streak.  His bat is hot right now so despite the tough matchup against Cole Hamels Ramos is worth a look based on hid cheap price and current hot streak.

First Base
Adrian Gonzalez, Dodgers, $3,100:
Gonzalez has been a liability in the batting average category this year but he has still managed to be a consistent run producer in a powerful offense.  He has seven RBI in his last four games and has consistently driven in runs all season long.  For only $3,100 you could do a lot worse than an aging first baseman with 60 RBI.

Second Base
Omar Infante, Royals, $3,000:
Infante continues to make up for a bad June with a red hot July.  Over the last 15 days Infante is batting .404 with a homerun, six runs scored, 10 RBI and a stolen base.  There might not be a hotter second baseman in the game right now and certainly not one with as small of a cap hit as Infante has.

Third Base
Pablo Sandoval, Giants, $3,100:
Sandoval looks primes to go on a hot streak right before the All Star break.  He has hits in his last four games which include two multi hit games and a 3-4 last night with a homerun against the diamondbacks.  A series against the one of the worst pitching teams in baseball is a great way to end the season as a batter making this a great time to get Sandoval into our daily lineups.

Short Stop
Jimmy Rollins, Phillies, $3,000:
Rollins is blistering hot at the plate right now.  In his last three games Rollins has three homeruns, five runs scored and seven RBI.  He has a very tough matchup against the Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg but when you are this hot generally any offense a team musters is going to revolve around that player.

Outfield
Justin Upton, Braves, $3,400:
Upton has been consistent all season long and just missed out on being named to the All Star team.  He has a very favorable matchup against the wild and inefficient Edwin Jackson, who has an ERA of 5.05 and a WHIP of 1.55.  Upton is hitless his last two games but this should be the game that puts him back on track like he was at the beginning of last week when he recorded multiple hits in four out of five games.

My Lineup

Pitcher
Jimmy Nelson, Brewers, $5,000

Catcher
Wilson Ramos, Nationals, $3,000

First Base
Freddie Freeman, Braves, $4,000

Second Base
Robinson Cano, Mariners, $4,100

Third Base
Pablo Sandoval, Giants, $3,100

Short Stop
Jimmy Rollins, Phillies, $3,000

Outfield
Justin Upton, Braves, $3,400

Outfield
Mike Trout, Angels, $5,400

Outfield
Yasiel Puig, Dodgers, $4,000

Don't forget to check your lineup before each game to make sure that everyone in your lineup is starting. The last thing you want is a zero spot in your lineup costing yourself money.
