The scoring system for FanDuel    is as follows:

Batters: Single = 1pt, Double = 2pts, Triple = 3pts, Homerun = 4pts, RBI = 1pt, Run = 1pt, Walk = 1pt,
Stolen Base = 2pts, Hit By Pitch = 1, Out (calculated as at bats - hits) = -.25pt
Pitchers: Win  = 4pts, Earned Run = -1pt, Strike Out = 1pt, Innings Pitched = 1pt

My Value Picks

Pitcher
Josh Collmenter, Diamondbacks, $7,000:
Collmenter ahs been the one bright spot in an otherwise awful Diamond backs rotation.  While his strikeouts are down from his pace last season Collmenter is still providing quality numbers with a mid 3’s ERA and a 1.22 WHIP.  His start today comes against the Phillies who have struggled to score runs all season long making him an good start at a good price.

Catcher
Stephen Vogt, Athletics, $2,900:
Vogt has been a good story for the A’s this season.  He burst onto the scene out of nowhere and has hit the ball well since getting his shot to play everyday.  He doesn’t have a lot of pop but his ability to bat for a good average and drive the ball in the gaps should prove to be beneficiary today against a Texas team that has not pitched well as a team.

First Base
Matt Adams, Cardinals, $3,000
: Adams just continues to hit the ball and has proven to be the Cardinals best bat this season.  The power is down from what many expected but he is making up for it with a .324 batting average.  He has an extremely tough matchup against Jake Arrieta but has been consistent enough all season long to warrant a start especially at his price.

Second Base
Aaron Hill, Diamondbacks, $3,000:
Hill is locked in at the plate and look like he is back in form as one of the better hitting second baseman in the game.  He has a nine game hitting streak and is batting .343 over his last 15 games.  He doesn’t have a great mathcup with Cliff Lee on the mound, however Lee has been more hittable this season with a 3.67 ERA and doesn’t have the control you would normally see out of him with at least one walk in his last six starts.

Third Base
Mike Moustakas, Royals, 3,100:
One of the beautiful things about daily fantasy baseball is that your overall numbers don’t matter it’s all about what have you done lately.  That is what makes Moustakas a good play today despite his batting average still sitting under .200 on the season.  Over the last 30 days he is batting .273 with four homeruns, 10 runs scored and 11 RBI.  Now the powerful lefty to gets to face the right Zack McAllister and his extremely high ERA which currently sits at 5.28.

Short Stop
Josh Rutledge, Rockies, $3,100:
With consistent playing time Rutledge is putting together a good season with a .302 average and 22 runs scored.  He doesn’t have a ton of pop but had success last time out against the Pirates starter Jeff Locke with two hits one of which was a homerun.

Outfield
Adam Eaton, White Sox, $3,100:
Eaton has been on fire since the all star break going hitless only once despite having a broken middle finger.  Now he gets to see the Twins pitching staff which has not been good this season.  I would expect Eaton to get on base multiple times and score a couple of runs with all his speed, and the powerful bats he has hitting behind him.

My Lineup

Pitcher
Josh Collmenter, Diamondbacks, $7,000

Catcher
Stephen Vogt, Athletics, $2,900, First Base

Don't forget to check your lineup before each game to make sure that everyone in your lineup is starting. The last thing you want is a zero spot in your lineup costing yourself money.
