My Value Players

Pitcher
Michael Pineda, Yankees, $5,800:
Pineda is having an monster season for the Yankees despite missing a good chunk of the middle of the year with an injury.  This season Pineda has 2.20 ERA and a .91 WHIP.  Since coming off the disabled list Pineda has only walked one batter.  Look for Pineda to rebound from his last start against the Rays when he gave up four runs in 7.2 innings marking the first time all season that he gave up more than two earned runs.

Catcher
Travis D’Arnaud, Mets, $2,900:
D’Arnaud is batting .356 over the last 15 days with a homerun six runs scored and seven RBI.  If you are in need of a cheap catcher D’Arnaud is hitting the ball really well and continues to remain at a great price at under $3,000.

First Base
Adam Lind, Blue Jays, $3,100:
Lind is on fire right now.  He is riding a nine game hitting streak and gets to face Ubaldo Jimenez who has a 4.96 ERA this year in what has been an awful season for the hurler in is first season pitching for the Orioles.  There is a good chance that Lind is capable of turning his hitting streak into ten game and may even drive one over the fence against this hurler who has not been able to keep the ball in the yard.

Second Base
Robinson Cano, Mariners, $3,300:
Despite hitting for a lot less power than he was accustomed to in New York Cano has still been one of the best hitting second baseman in all of baseball.  He has two homeruns in his last four games and is seven for his last twenty one at the plate.  Cory Rasmus has been a great reliever for the Angles this year but he is still not stretched out fully to be a starter and will likely be limited to five innings meaning Cano will get to face a fairly weak bullpen early in the game.

Third Base
Pablo Sandoval, Giants, $2,900:
Despite recent struggles at the plate for Sandoval he is in a good position to have a good game against the Diamondbacks.  Josh Collmenter has had a solid season for the Diamondbacks with a 3.67 ERA but he does not go deep into games.  That means three or four innings of bullpen work for the Diamondbacks which is always a good sign for opposing batters as the D-Backs have one of the worst bullpens in baseball.

Short Stop
Erick Aybar, Angels, $3,200:
Aybar is red hot at the plate right now batting .381 over the last 30 days with a whopping 18 runs scored and 15 RBI.  For any price you will be lucky to find a batter producing at a better level than Aybar is right now.

Outfield
Michael Cuddyer, Rockies, $3,100:
Finally off of another stint on the disabled list Cuddyer is continuing his hitting ways for the Rockies.  Since coming off the DL he is 6/24 with a  homerun but has a three game hitting streak that includes five of his six hits.  Even though Dan Haren has been unbelievable in his last four starts giving up only two runs in 26 innings pitched, he still has a 3.99 ERA on the year and Cuddyer is a threat to go deep at any point when he is going right at the plate as he is right now.
