Freddie Freeman had a year to remember in 2013. He ended the season with a .319 batting average to go with 23 home runs and 109 RBIs. In a lineup full of inconsistency, Freeman was the one hitter who was consistent. His numbers from 2013 have to put him in the top-five as far as the first base position in concerned. The best part about this guy is that he is young and may have not reached his ceiling yet.

His .319 batting average was the third best in the National League and his batting average with runners in scoring position ranked second in all of baseball at .443! If you are going to be drafting Freeman you should not assume that he is just magically going to bat this high with RISP again. He is good but those numbers are very hard to maintain.

Freeman has been drafted in the third round of most leagues but has put up the numbers to be considered a second round guy. With drafting Freeman you should come to expect a high batting average to go with at least 20 home runs and 100 RBIs. The injury bug has never really hit Freeman hard which is another plus and reason to add him to your team.

Overall this 25 year-old should be a great start on your team. He is going to get his 145 plus games in and can do everything for your team except steal bases. If you can draft this guy in the third of fourth round you should be happy. Heck, you might be happy with his value if you get him in the second round even.
