Fantasy Slant: Cardinals Sign Yadier Molina to Three-Year Extension

On the day they are set to open up the regular season, the St. Louis Cardinals have taken care of one of their biggest offseason priorities. The team announced on Sunday that it has signed veteran backstop Yadier Molina to a three-year, $60 million extension.

Molina, 34, was set to become a free agent following the 2017 season. The move keeps him in St. Louis through the 2020 campaign.

The seven-time All-Star hit .307 with eight homers and 58 RBI last season. He heads into the 2017 campaign as one of our top-10 fantasy catchers.
