The Miami Marlins will be without star outfielder Giancarlo Stanton for their game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday.
Stanton, who hit his 12th homer of the season last night, has posted just three hits in his past 25 at-bats over the past seven games. While the outfielder was banged up due to an outfield collision about a week and a half ago, that's not the primary reason for him sitting. It's simply to give him a bit of a rest in the middle of the week.
It comes at a good time for Stanton, as the Marlins will be facing a Rays' pitcher in Matt Andriese who has posted a 3-0 record with a 2.11 ERA and 0.75 WHIP in his first three starts for the big league club this season.
Here's the Marlins lineup without Stanton's presence. Keep in mind that Ichiro has been on fire recently. He's a solid play in the afternoon-only DFS slate.
