Miami Marlins outfielder and sudden NL MVP candidate Giancarlo Stanton continued his absolutely absurd recent run on Monday night, hitting yet another homer and driving in three runs in am 8-3 Marlins win over the San Francisco Giants.
Stanton's homer, which came in the first inning against Giants starter Ty Blach, was his 43rd of the season, breaking Gary Sheffield's franchise mark.
It also continued an absolutely absurd run that has seen Stanton hit 22 homers over the course of his past 33 games. During that very same span, the outfielder has driven in 43 runs.
Now leading the NL in homers and ranking in the top three in RBI, Stanton is in the midst of his most-dominating season. He's currently on pace to hit 60 homers while driving in 130 runs. That's just amazing right there.
