The Arizona Diamondbacks are facing more injuries to their starting rotation. With Shelby Miller lost for the season (and longer) due to a torn UCL, Taijuan Walker has now been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a blister on his right index finger. The move is retroactive to Saturday, so Walker can conceivably return within just over a week.
In his first season in the desert after being acquired from Seattle, Walker has pitched to a solid 4-3 record with a 3.46 ERA and 1.29 WHIP.
It's not yet known who will take his next turn in the rotation. Though, Walker could potentially miss just one start.
