Out since May 23 after suffering a concussion against the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson could be nearing his return.
The talented youngster will hopefully begin his rehab assignment this upcoming Friday, at which point he could return to the Dodgers in relatively short order.
Pederson started the season out strong, hitting a grand slam on Opening Day. Since then and prior to suffering the concussion, Pederson was hitting .200 with two homers and 11 RBI.
Interestingly enough, Pederson might find it hard to get back into the Dodgers' lineup regularly.
Chris Taylor has been absolutely raking it in his stead, hitting at a .318 clip with seven homers, 23 RBI, 26 runs scored and a stellar .416 OBP.
If you DL'd Pederson and are hoping for him to come back strong, we'd caution against that. It might take him some time to get back into the mix in Los Angeles. Give it a bit of a sample size before jumping on him as a consistent starting option or a DFS-relevant player.
