The Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday placed star rookie Cody Bellinger on the 10-day disabled list with a sprained right ankle. Bellinger suffered the injury on Saturday and has not seen the field since.
We fully expect the Dodgers to take it slow with the Rookie of the Year favorite, which could definitely impact his fantasy stock as the season draws to a conclusion. Los Angeles is currently 88-35 on the season and 13.5 games up on Washington for home-field advantage in the National League.
Bellinger, 22, is hitting .274 with 34 homers, 79 RBI and a .356 OBP on the season. With Bellinger out, veteran Adrian Gonzalez will likely see regular time at first base. He's in no way relevant, having posted a sub .250 average with just one homer on the season.
