Washington Nationals outfielder and MVP candidate Bryce Harper was forced from Saturday's game against the San Francisco Giants with what looks to be a serious knee injury.
The injury occurred when Harper tried to beat out a ground ball in his first at-bat of the night. We're not going to show the injury due to the gruesome nature, but click here if you feel inclined to check it out.
Harper had to be carted off the field and was unable to put any pressure on his knee.
While there are no official updates on Harper's status, it most definitely doesn't look good.
The 24-year-old outfielder entered Saturdy's action with a .327 average to go with 29 homers, 87 RBI, 57 extra-base hits and a robust .420 OBP.
We'll have further updates when they're available.
