The Tampa Bay Rays will be without third baseman Evan Longoria for Tuesday's game against the Miami Marlins with a foot injury. It's the second game that the slumping Longoria has missed after complaining about soreness in the area.
Longoria started out the season strong, but has hit a dry spell recently. He's reached safely in just three of his past 29 at-bats and boasts a substandard .208 average with four homers and 13 RBI on the season.
Youngster Daniel Robertson will get the start in Longoria's stead against Marlins starter Edinson Volquez. Robertson hit his first Major League homer this past weekend.
