After missing the entire weekend series against the Washington Nationals with a sore hamstring, New York Mets All-Star outfielder Yoenis Cespedes will return to the lineup when the team starts its series against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday.
This is good news for a Mets team that has lost four consecutive games and scored just seven runs in three games against Washington.
Cespedes will be going against Braves starter Julio Teheran, who yielded seven earned runs in his last start against Washington on Wednesday. Hitting .263 with six homers and 10 RBI on the season, Cespedes is just a career .238 hitter against the Braves and has three hits in 15 at-bats against Teheran.
