It wasn't until the year of the September 11th terrorist attacks back in 2001 that we saw postseason baseball played in November. The 2009 Fall Classic was postponed due to the World Baseball Classic. And back in 2010, the San Francisco Giants took the World Series against the Texas Rangers on the first day of November.
For the fourth time in the history of the game, there's a chance the World Series could be played in November this year. MLB released its postseason schedule, which includes three potential games in that month:
| Game | Date |
| 1 | 10/27/15 |
| 2 | 10/28/15 |
| 3 | 10/30/15 |
| 4 | 10/31/15 |
| 5 | 11/1/15 (If Necessary) |
| 6 | 11/3/15 (If Necessary) |
| 7 | 11/4/15 (If Necessary) |
Unlike two of the previous seasons that saw World Series baseball played in November, is no specific reason for this. Instead, it's all about how MLB scheduled a 162-game slate. This will obviously lead to more talk about a 154-game schedule, though there has to be some idea given to shortening Spring Training and starting the season earlier. After all, November baseball in Chicago and New York could cause some major weather issues.
