Hot streaks spread around the clubhouse, as does the flu. On Friday, the Boston Red Sox will be without sluggers Mookie Betts and Hanley Ramirez, who the team is holding out with flu-like symptoms. Both players are also not available to pinch hit as the team has kept them away from the clubhouse to avoid further spreading.
With Betts sitting out, Chris Young will take his place in the lineup. Boston faces righty Michael Fulmer, so this game doesn't offer a lefty that Young has made a career off crushing. The fantasy upside is limited for Young, so we can avoid him in DFS.
Brock Holt will serve as the designated hitter in Ramirez's absence. Last season, Holt hit under .260 with seven home runs and four stolen bases in 94 games, so he too can be ignored in the DFS lineups today.
