Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Justin Verlander was pulled from Sunday's game in the third inning after suffering a tight groin muscle. It was a precautionary measure for the Tigers, but there still had to be some concern.
The good news here is that an MRI on Verlander's groin came back negative and he should be able to make his next start this upcoming weekend.
The 34-year-old has struggled to a 4-4 record with a 4.63 ERA and 1.46 WHIP on the season.
