After missing less than two weeks with a left quad strain, All-Star Cincinnati Reds shortstop will be back in the lineup against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday.
It's a boon for both Cincinnati and the fantasy baseball world, especially considering Cozart is in the midst of a career season. The veteran is hitting at a tremendous .317 clip with a .402 on-base percentage and .971 OPS on the season. He's also hit 12 homers and scored 48 runs.
Cincinnati is currently in last place in the NL Central, but Cozart's presence in the lineup could be a boon for fantasy owners at a position that's been somewhat limited thus far this season.
Though, all of his stats seem to be an outlier in comparison to previous seasons, so it will be interesting to see how he performs after some time on the shelf. In terms of DFS play, let's give it a couple games before relying on him.
