The Detroit Tigers have activated veteran second baseman Ian Kinsler from the 10-day disabled list. Kinsler has been out since suffering a left hamstring strain back in May 26th. The veteran will bat lead off for the Tigers against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday.
Kinsler, 34, was off to a slow start on the season prior to suffering the injury. He's hitting .239 with four homers and 11 RBI in 41 games. It will surely be interesting to see if this time off will help the former All-Star regain his form.
From a fantasy perspective, it should be more of a wait-and-see approach. With Detroit also struggling to a 28-28 mark on the year, the team is said to potentially be looking to sell. If so, Kinsler could be prime trade bait for a contending team.
