Orioles at Red Sox

The red-hot Baltimore Orioles go for a sweep of their three-game series against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Sunday. Baltimore needed 13 innings to top Boston on Friday before using a seven-run third inning to roll past the Red Sox on Saturday afternoon.

The Orioles have won 10 of their last 12 games overall and are 4-1 on their six-game road trip. Baltimore has lost just two of its nine series this year and is 11-2-1 in sets since Sept. 12. Boston, which has not lost a season series to Baltimore since 2004, has dropped nine of its last 10 home games and is 4-9 at Fenway Park for the first time since 1984. The Red Sox began their six-game homestand with a triumph over Oakland but have lost four straight.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Orioles RH Tommy Hunter (2-1, 4.26 ERA) vs. Red Sox RH Clay Buchholz (3-1, 8.69 ERA)

Hunter has rebounded nicely from an awful performance in his last road start on April 18 at Chicago, where he was battered for eight runs in 5 2/3 innings by the White Sox. In his next two outings, the 25-year-old went 1-0 while yielding just three runs and 10 hits over 13 frames. The no-decision came last Sunday against Oakland even though he allowed just two runs in seven innings. Hunter is 2-1 but owns a 6.52 ERA in six career starts against Boston.

Buchholz has a favorable record despite having allowed five earned runs or more in each of his five starts this year. He picked up the victory over Oakland on Monday after yielding six runs in 6 2/3 innings. Buchholz is 5-3 with a 3.26 ERA and a pair of shutouts in 10 career outings - one relief appearance - against the Orioles.

WALK-OFFS

1. Hunter has had two extra days of rest due to an ingrown toenail that was removed.

2. Boston's Adrian Gonzalez has raised his average from .250 to .284 by going 6-for-10 over the first two games of the series.

3. Miguel Tejada, who played for Baltimore from 2004-07 and again in 2010, will report to the team's spring training facility in Florida for a physical.
