White Sox at Indians

The Chicago White Sox finally had enough of falling at the feet of the Cleveland Indians. After rallying to victory on Tuesday, Chicago will look to salvage a split of its four-game series when the teams reconvene at Progressive Field on Wednesday.

Alex Rios had three hits - including an RBI triple in the 10th inning - as the White Sox snapped a three-game losing streak overall and a four-game skid to the Indians. New Chicago closer Chris Sale failed to hold a three-run lead in the eighth before Rios' heroics.

PITCHING MATCHUP
: White Sox RH Jake Peavy (3-1, 1.99 ERA) vs. Indians RH Jeanmar Gomez (2-1, 2.82 ERA)

Peavy pitched well in his last outing but his three-run, seven-hit effort over 7 2/3 innings went by the boards as he settled for a no-decision versus Detroit on Friday. The 30-year-old has posted a 2-3 career mark with a 1.11 WHIP versus Cleveland but has yet to face the AL Central division rival this season.

Gomez has been solid during his last three starts, including his last trip to the mound when he held high-octane Texas to just three runs over seven innings Friday. The 24-year-old Venezuelan fared well in his last appearance versus Chicago, tossing two shutout innings of relief while striking out three on April 11.

WALK-OFFS:

1. Chicago's Alexei Ramirez is struggling mightily at the plate. Ramirez, who has just three hits in his last 24 at-bats, went 0-for-5 on Tuesday. He hasn't had much success versus Gomez, going 1-for-6 in his career.

2. Asdrubal Cabrera saw his seven-game hitting streak come to an end after an 0-for-4 effort on Tuesday. He has enjoyed some success versus Peavy, collecting four hits in 11 career at-bats.

3. Cleveland outfielder Grady Sizemore admitted that he is on target for a return in June. The three-time All-Star is recovering from back surgery and is eligible to be activated from the 60-day disabled list on June 3.
