Dodgers at Brewers
The Brewers needed some ninth-inning heroics to snap the Dodgers’ six-game winning streak Tuesday. Milwaukee scored two runs on a walk-off double from pinch hitter George Kottaras to open a nine-game home stand with a 5-4 victory. Los Angeles failed at its bid for a 10-1 start to the season for the first time since moving from Brooklyn.
Matt Kemp went just 1-for-4 with two strikeouts and was overshadowed by Andre Ethier, who hit his fourth home run of the season. The pair is ranked first and second in RBIs in the National League with a combined 33 runs batted in. Ryan Braun, who edged Kemp in the NL MVP voting last season, was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts Tuesday.
