After Randall Delgado became Arizona's first starting pitcher to win a game in nearly a month, Ian Kennedy will look to repeat the feat in under 24 hours as the visiting Diamondbacks face the New York Mets in the finale of their four-game series on Thursday afternoon. Cody Ross helped Delgado end the 24-start winless streak - as well as Arizona's season-high five-game slide - with a three-run blast off Mets ace Matt Harvey. The Diamondbacks, who improved to 2-7 on their 10-game road trip, will head west after Thursday's tilt to open a 10-game homestand versus National League West rivals Colorado and Los Angeles.
Josh Satin extended his hitting streak to nine games with his first career homer on Wednesday. The 28-year-old is 14-for-34 with six RBIs and as many runs scored during the stretch. Satin will look to give the Citi Field fans one more thrill before the team hits the road for three-game series against Milwaukee, San Francisco and Pittsburgh prior to the All-Star break.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Diamondbacks RH Ian Kennedy (3-4, 5.36 ERA) vs. Mets RH Dillon Gee (6-7, 4.60)
Kennedy settled for his third consecutive no-decision in his last trip to the mound. The 28-year-old allowed four runs and walked four in 4 1/3 innings against Atlanta on Saturday. Kennedy, who has won all four of his career decisions versus the Mets, has allowed a home run in each of his last six outings.
After a rocky beginning to the season, Gee seemingly has hit his stride. The 27-year-old has pieced together four wins in his last five decisions, yielding a total of six runs in the process. Gee, who has split a pair of decisions versus Arizona, allowed one run on six hits in as many innings against Washington on Saturday.
WALK-OFFS
1. New York 3B David Wright, who homered on Wednesday, has gone deep twice among his four hits in 11 career at-bats versus Kennedy.
2. Diamondbacks 1B Paul Goldschmidt was not in the starting lineup on Wednesday for the first time since the second game of a doubleheader on May 27. Goldschmidt, who merely was given the day off, is expected to play on Thursday.
3. Gee has limited Arizona 3B-LF Martin Prado to four hits in 20 career at-bats.
