Marlins at Diamondbacks
The Arizona Diamondbacks have teed off on the pitching staff of the visiting Miami Marlins over the first two games of their series and look to complete a sweep of the three-game set on Sunday. Arizona tied the franchise single-game record with six home runs in Friday's 9-1 triumph and belted two more shots a day later as it rolled to a 6-2 victory.
Paul Goldschmidt and David Peralta went deep on Saturday, with the latter homering for the second time in two games. Ketel Marte, who launched a pair of homers in the series opener, delivered a run-scoring triple to give him five RBIs in as many contests. Miami has lost five straight since winning the opener of its 10-game road trip and eight of its last nine overall. The Marlins registered 10 hits in Saturday's setback, but Derek Dietrich went 0-for-4 after notching back-to-back three-hit performances, ending his five-game hitting streak.
