Twins at Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers will attempt to become the first National League team to reach the 50-win mark this season when they host the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday afternoon for the middle contest of their three-game interleague set. Milwaukee is tied with Atlanta for the NL lead with 49 victories after rallying from a four-run deficit to record a 10-inning, 6-5 triumph in the series opener.

Recent acquisition Brad Miller, who went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs, drew a bases-loaded walk with one out in the 10th on Monday to give the Brewers the win. The hot-hitting Jesus Aguilar went 2-for-4 with an RBI for his eighth multi-hit effort in 13 contests and has recorded eight homers and 18 RBIs over his last 14 games. Robbie Grossman went 2-for-5 with a grand slam for the Twins, who are just 1-6 on their nine-game road trip and 15-26 away from home this season. Jorge Polanco was hitless over four at-bats in his season debut after serving an 80-game suspension for violating Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Twins RH Jake Odorizzi (3-5, 4.62 ERA) vs. Brewers RH Junior Guerra (4-5, 3.05)

Odorizzi settled for a no-decision against the Chicago White Sox in his last outing despite registering eight strikeouts while scattering three hits over six scoreless innings. The 28-year-old is winless over his last nine starts, losing three times during that stretch. Odorizzi struck out a season-high 10 batters while giving up one run and five hits over 5 2/3 frames against the Brewers in a no-decision on May 20 and is 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA in two career starts versus Milwaukee.

Guerra halted his seven-start winless streak by beating Cincinnati in his last turn despite yielding four runs and eight hits over six innings. The 33-year-old has allowed fewer than two runs in three of his last six starts but didn't work more than six frames in any of them. Guerra came away without a decision against the Twins on May 20, when he gave up one run and four hits over 4 1/3 innings, and has posted a 5.06 ERA in two appearances versus Minnesota, with the other coming in relief.
