Dodgers 0, Braves 1

Tim Hudson threw eight scoreless innings and Brooks Conrad hit a home run to break a scoreless tie in the seventh inning, lifting the Atlanta Braves to a 1-0 victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday.

Hudson (14-5) held the Dodgers to three hits and a walk while striking out six to win his fifth consecutive start. He hasn't allowed more than one run in any of those outings.

Dodgers starter Hiroki Kuroda matched Hudson for six innings, but Conrad got the Braves on the board with his shot to dead center, his seventh homer of the season. Kuroda (8-11) allowed four hits and two walks over seven innings, striking out three.

Billy Wagner worked around a leadoff single to Scott Podsednik in the ninth for his 29th save.

Omar Infante had two hits for the Braves, who have won five of six and lead the NL East by three games over Philadelphia.
