Braves 2, Marlins 0
Alex Gonzalez recorded two hits and two RBIs while Jair Jurrjens outdueled Josh Johnson as the Atlanta Braves posted a 2-0 triumph over the Florida Marlins.
Omar Infante and Martin Prado collected two hits apiece for the Braves, who halted a four-game road losing streak.
Gonzalez gave Atlanta a 1-0 lead in the second inning, following Melky Cabrera's leadoff single with an RBI double. Gonzalez moved to third on the throw to the plate but was caught stealing home later in the frame.
Brian McCann opened the sixth with a double and scored three batters later on a single by Gonzalez, giving the Braves a 2-0 cushion.
That was enough support for Jurrjens (7-4), who limited the Marlins to three hits and three walks while striking out seven in seven innings en route to his fourth consecutive victory. The win was Jurrjens' first in 10 road starts this year.
Jonny Venters tossed a perfect eighth and Billy Wagner worked the ninth for his 32nd save.
Johnson (11-6) fell to 1-3 in his last nine outings despite surrendering just two runs and eight hits in six innings. The right-hander, who is 0-1 with a 1.50 ERA in three starts against Atlanta in 2010, walked three and matched a career high with 12 strikeouts.
Hanley Ramirez had two of the four hits by Florida, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
