Pirates 1, Astros 4

Carlos Lee hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the eighth inning and the Houston Astros beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-1 Friday.

Brett Wallace added an RBI single in the four-run eighth for Houston, which has won eight straight against Pittsburgh at Minute Maid Park.

Neil Walker drove in the lone run for Pittsburgh, which has lost five straight.

Walker's third-inning RBI single was the difference until the Astros broke through in the eighth. Angel Sanchez sparked the rally with a hit a one-out single off Evan Meek (4-4) and Hunter Pence walked before Lee deposited an 0-1 slider over the left-field wall for his 15th homer of the season.

The comeback helped make a winner out of Wilton Lopez (4-0), who threw a scoreless eighth. Pittsburgh put runners on the corners in the ninth, but Brandon Lyon got Delwyn Young to hit into a game-ending double play, securing his third save in four chances.

The Pirates wasted a terrific outing from Ross Ohlendorf, who allowed four hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Brett Myers matched him pitch-for-pitch, allowing just one run and seven hits in seven innings. The right-hander extended his franchise record of at least six innings pitched to 24 starts.
