Astros 3, Phillies 2

Carlos Lee slapped a two-run single in the eighth inning and Brett Myers was victorious in his return to the City of Brotherly Love as the Houston Astros rallied to a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday.

Former Phillie Michael Bourn had three hits and scored twice and Hunter Pence added a run-scoring sacrifice fly for Houston (55-69), which posted its seventh win in 11 games.

Myers (9-7) certainly fared well in his return to Philadelphia. The 30-year-old right-hander permitted two runs and nine hits while striking out nine in seven innings.

Myers spent eight seasons with the Phillies and was part of the 2008 World Series championship team.

Brandon Lyon overcame a leadoff walk in the ninth inning to retire the next three batters and notch his seventh save of the season.

Carlos Ruiz belted a solo homer and Chase Utley added an RBI single for Philadelphia (70-54), which fell for the third time in five outings.

Ryan Madson (4-2) allowed two runs and three hits in one inning to take the loss.
