David Ross' grand slam highlighted Atlanta's five-run fourth inning as the Braves defeated the visiting Baltimore Orioles 5-4 on Saturday night for their ninth straight interleague victory.
Ross went 2-for-3 and hit his first homer since May 2. It came off Jake Arrieta (9-5), who allowed five runs in five innings.
Tim Hudson (7-6) struck out six in six innings and allowed three runs on a pair of home runs to Mark Reynolds, his 16th and 17th of the season.
The Orioles made it a one-run game when Nick Markakis homered in the seventh off Scott Linebrink.
Atlanta's Eric O’Flaherty pitched out of trouble in the eighth, leaving runners at second and third, and Craig Kimbrel pitched a scoreless ninth and struck two for his 24th save.
