White Sox 4, Rangers 3
Brent Morel hit a three-run homer and Gordon Beckham scored on a wild pitch in the eighth inning as the Chicago White Sox rallied to a 4-3 victory over the visiting Texas Rangers on Tuesday night.
Beckham led off the eighth with a walk against Cody Eppley (1-1). He advanced to third on a one-out single by pinch-hitter Dallas McPherson and came home when Eppley's first pitch to Alexei Ramirez got away.
Texas built a 3-0 lead over the first four innings against Chicago starter John Danks, but Morel erased it when he sent a 1-2 pitch from Matt Harrison over the left-field wall with two outs in the fifth.
Jesse Crain (1-1) picked up the win after tossing 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of Danks, who allowed four hits in 6 1/3 innings but walked six batters. Sergio Santos worked a perfect ninth for his sixth save.
Harrison allowed four walks, three hits and struck out six in seven innings.
