Royals 10, White Sox 3
Mike Moustakas went 3-for-4 with a home run to lead an 18-hit barrage as Kansas City ran its win streak to seven with a 10-3 rout of the visiting Chicago White Sox on Saturday.
The Royals, who have scored 24 runs on 46 hits over the first three games of the four-game series, took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning against Zach Stewart (2-5). Alcides Escobar drove in two with a one-out triple to left and scored on a hit by Alex Gordon to make it 3-1.
Moustakas padded the lead in the fifth when he hit a two-run homer for the second straight night.
Everett Teaford (2-0) won for the second time in as many career starts, allowing one run on four hits over six innings while finishing with four strikeouts and two walks. Stewart surrendered five runs on 11 hits in his five innings for Chicago, which has lost seven games in a row.
Jeff Francoeur, the last Kansas City starter without a hit, changed that when he capped the scoring with a three-run homer in the eighth.
Alex Rios had a solo shot in the second for the White Sox.
