Blue Jays 3, Reds 2
Jo-Jo Reyes earned his third win in a row and Adam Lind homered for the fourth straight game as the Toronto Blue Jays edged the host Cincinnati Reds 3-2 in interleague play Friday night.
Reyes (3-5) won for the third time in four outings since ending a 28-start winless skid. The lefty surrendered two runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings while striking out five.
Lind continued his scorching month of June, swatting a two-run shot over the center field wall off losing pitcher Mike Leake (6-3) to give Toronto a 3-1 edge in the seventh inning. He's the first Toronto player to accomplish the feat since Edwin Encarnacion went deep in four consecutive games to conclude the 2010 season.
Lind is now hitting .413 (19-for-46) with eight homers and 17 RBIs in 13 games this month.
Frank Francisco, Toronto's fourth pitcher of the night, worked the ninth for his seventh save.
Drew Stubbs hit an inside-the-park home run and Scott Rolen also went deep for the Reds, who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
Stubbs' first career inside-the-park homer came after outfielders Jose Bautista and Corey Patterson were crossed up on a drive to center field. Neither outfielder made a play on the ball and it bounded to the fence, allowing Stubbs to easily round the bases.
Leake was charged with three runs on five hits over seven innings. He struck out three.
