Rangers 8, Indians 7 (11)

Elvis Andrus scored from second base on Josh Hamilton's infield hit in the bottom of the 11th inning to give the Texas Rangers an 8-7 victory over the Cleveland Indians on Friday.

Rafael Perez (4-2) retired the first two hitters in the 11th before Andrus bunted for a hit and took second on a wild pitch. Hamilton hit a ground ball to the left side and beat shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera's throw. Andrus never stopped running, and beat the throw home from first baseman Matt LaPorta.

Michael Young's two-run homer with two outs in the ninth off Chris Perez tied the game. Perez retired the first two hitters, but Josh Hamilton singled and Young hit a 2-0 pitch to dead center.

Neftali Feliz (1-2) pitched 1 2/3 innings.

Ubaldo Jimenez was in line to win his first American League start until Perez blew the save. Jimenez, acquired from Colorado at the trade deadline, allowed five runs in five innings.

Jimenez took a 7-3 lead into the sixth, but Mike Napoli hit a leadoff homer. Jimenez was pulled after walking Mitch Moreland. Endy Chavez's sacrifice fly off Chad Durbin cut the lead to two.

Carlos Santana hit a three-run homer in the first and added a two-run double in the second, which knocked Texas starter Derek Holland out of the game.

Holland, who had pitched three shutouts in his last five starts, allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings.
