Braves 2, Brewers 1
Atlanta rallied for two runs in the eighth inning on a pair of solo home runs against former Brave Takashi Saito and beat Milwaukee 2-1 to ruin the Brewers home opener Monday afternoon at Miller Park.
Martin Prado led off the eighth inning with his first homer of the season and Dan Uggla went deep for the second time this season with two outs to cap the come-from-behind win.
The rally made a winner of Atlanta reliever Peter Moylan (1-0), and Craig Kimbrel earned his second save of the season by striking out the side in the ninth. Saito (0-1) was the losing pitcher for the Brewers, who are still seeking their first win after four games.
The Atlanta offense was able to do little against Milwaukee starter Chris Narveson, who allowed only three hits and three walks with five strikeouts in six innings. He did not allow a runner to reach second base.
Atlanta's Brandon Beachy also pitched well in his six-inning start. Beachy struck out seven and allowed only four hits, but one of them was a long homer by Rickie Weeks, his third of the season, in the third inning.
