Braves 8, Brewers 0 (2nd)
Tim Hudson pitched a one-hitter as the host Atlanta Braves beat the Milwaukee Brewers 8-0 for a doubleheader sweep Wednesday.
Hudson (4-2) struck out six, walked one and allowed only a fourth-inning double to Rickie Weeks, who was left stranded at third. Hudson threw a first-pitch strike to 27 of the 29 batters he faced.
Hudson has three career one-hitters - his last came in 2006.
The loss ruined the debut of Milwaukee starter Zack Greinke, who fractured a rib during the off-season. Greinke (0-1) pitched four innings and allowed five runs, four earned. He gave up five hits and struck out six.
Atlanta's offense was paced by Nate McLouth, who was 2-for-2 with a long two-run homer and two walks. McLouth was 5-for-5 in the doubleheader and raised his average to .278.
The win was the fourth straight for Atlanta, which swept its second doubleheader of the season. The Braves won the first game 8-3.
