Mets 6, Braves 4
Red-hot Jose Reyes had two hits and scored two runs to lead the New York Mets to a 6-4 win over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday at Citi Field.
Reyes has hit safely in 10 straight games and is battling .454 during the stretch. He had five hits, four RBIs and scored five runs, as the Mets took two of three from the Braves and won their first series since May 18-19.
The Braves dropped their fourth decision in their last six and head into
the second week of June four games behind NL East-leading Philadelphia.
Brian McCann and Diory Hernandez homered for Atlanta.
R.A Dickey had his knuckleball working and picked up his third win, allowing one run on four hits in eight innings.
Mets outfielder Carlos Beltran, who had an RBI double in the first, fouled a ball off the inside of his right shin and had to leave the game in the second inning.
